This place very tasty burgers. I got the pineapple burger, was juicy and succulent! The side salad was essentially just lettuce leaves with a dressing on it, no other ingredients. The side of sweet chilli fries were pretty average too. We ordered it for the sour cream though to be honest. Pretty average for ¥700. Need to up their sides game to make the whole experience awesome.Good burgers though, if you’re looking for a good burg only, come here!
MoreGreat food, good vibes, awesome playlist too! Pancakes were scrumptious!
California inspired, great for breakfast if you want a little break from rice and noodles.
MoreAmazing food. Great music playing in the background. Very friendly staff. Seems like a small family run place, which would explain why we received probably the best service compared to any other restaurant we went to in Japan. Highly recommended.
MoreGreat little American Style cafe serving pancakes, omelettes and bacon & egg variants and great coffee. Craving western style breakfasts mid-trip we visited here twice in our 4 days in Osaka.
MoreI only tryed the burger there, so the review might not reflect the quality of the rest of the dishes. It was a very nice burger, the meat (especially the bacon) was perfectly cooked, the ingredients felt fresh and the bun's texture was nice.I'll come back to this place without hesitation. Service is a little bit slow, but it's worth the wait.Good coffee too!
MoreHad a great breakfast here... Coffee is good too!
Great burgers and sandwiches.
I've been here twice and had the pancakes with eggs and bacon both times. I know it's a bold statement - but these are the best pancakes I've ever had, anywhere in the world. My American friends agree. It's also super cute and the staff are lovely.
MoreDecent Western breakfast style in Japan, which is rare. Not espectacular but everything is tasty and well done. Moreover, one of the very few places to open early. Come early to avoid queueing.
MoreExtremely unwelcoming staff even for European measures...and that is hard to find in Japan. The place was full when we entered. We got pushed outside without a word of welcome or any kind of facial expression to wait. After 20 minutes of waiting and multiple customers leaving the place, we were still being ignored. This was first and only such experience in Japan during our stay. Better go to Starbucks as the service there is stellar compared to this.
MoreThe food was beautiful and perfectly executed with love and care. Taste was amazing. Service was impeccable. Coffee was delicious. Just an overall wonderful operation. Very cute and intimate unassuming cafe with 5-tables and a window bar height table with a few seats. I've worked in hospitality most of my life and usually find some reason not to enjoy someplace but not here. Perfect and relaxing atmosphere for a delicious meal. Congrats to the staff on being part of an impressive crew.
MoreYummy Food Great Ambiance
Dropped by at 10 AM on a Saturday, and it wasn't too crowded. Breakfast really hit the spot. Had a croque madame and coffee. Service was friendly and efficient. Will definitely return to try burgers and pancakes.
MoreVery friendly staff, delicious French toast. Quiet on a weekday morning but busy on the weekends.
MoreSweet bakery and very laid back atmosphere. A little disappointed at the lack of baked goods since apparently we showed up on a no bake day? But good service and good coffee. They had a small selection of cookies and muffins which were still quite tasty.
MoreHighly recommended for people who want a nice hearty American style breakfast in Osaka. Worth the little walk from our hotel in Shinsaibashi. The food, bread and coffee are delicious and the staff are friendly and welcoming. One of the girls speak perfect English which is a plus. Perfect start of our day and can do a little wander around afterward at the Orange Street
MoreFood is great, but it takes us 1 hour to wait for the food. There are plenty of tables are empty, but the waiter keep customers wait outside for no reason.... Overall, it’s a really bad dining experience.
MoreOne of the best coffee spots in Osaka.Great selection of brunch / lunch food, great coffee and chilled atmosphere
MoreA nice Cosy breakfast spot. Opens at 9 am and had a good range of breakfast options. Price is good too. I had coffee and eggs, bacon, toast and salad for about 1000 yen. Coffee was okay but food was very good. Only downside is the wait. This is a popular place, so if you're in a hurry, might be best to choose somewhere else. If there's only one is two of you, you can squeeze in to the breakfast bar, but if it's busy you will wait a bit. Great breakfast option if you've got some time.
MoreBest western-style cafe in Osaka. Excellent coffee, perfect sandwiches, decent American soundtrack (bizarrely punctuated with ads for JCPenney, which has no stores in Japan), great service. We came back numerous times. Bloody love West Wood Bakers.
MoreSuch a great little bakery and restaurant serving amazing breakfast food (sets very reasonably priced) as well as other things later in the day (here for breakfast only). Opens at 9am and gets busy soon after, but well worth a visit to here for pancakes, cheese omlete or just the maple and bacon cheese scones 😍They speak English so easy to order as well if your Anglo and somewhat lacking with your Japanese.
MoreGood coffee and good donuts
Great burger well worth stopping by for one.
Phenomenal burgers, friendly staff and great coffee. Gets 5 stars for the 1980s playlist though!!
MoreThe pancakes were fluffy and super delicious, service was great and they had an English menu that was easy to understand
MoreStraight five stars for the food. Just the right amount of fluff on the pancakes and a slight toasted crunch for the near perfect pancake. Also, an egg yolk runny enough to make dry morning mouth salivate for the bacon egg sandwich.Great food experience. In terms of the missing star, perhaps we committed a social faux pas that I was unaware of, but I found the service staff to be somewhat dismissive or annoyed by our party of two.I'll chalk it up to cultural misunderstandings. But regardless, strong recommendation for the pancakes and bread!
MoreThe pancake was abseloutly perfect! Service was slow though..
Small cafe serving breakfast, lunch, dessert. Delicious burger. Limited selection of doughnuts. Friendly service. English menu available. Accepts credit card. Takeout available. Walking distance from JR Namba, Dotombori.
MoreThis place is amazing for breakfast or brunch! Had an amazing meal and a very nice time!!! Very recommended to anyone looking for great food in a very nice area!!
MoreGreat coffee ✔Tasty sandwiches ✔Fantastic pastries ✔I had a latte, the jalapeño bacon egg and cheese sandwich, and the bread pudding. A trio of excellence. Everything looked delicious on the menu and I wanted to try all the bakery items on display.
MoreQuite honestly the best bread I have ever had the pleasure of eating. The service was top notch and the whole feel of the restaurant made me feel like I was home. Absolutely amazing!
MoreGreat meal, on the high side for breakfast but if your not keen on a typical Japan breakfast it's a good change
MoreIf your looking for a western breakfast or lunch this is the place to go in Osaka, 10 minute walk from the Osaka-Namba subway station. Pairing a delicious western menu with legendary Japanese hospitality, highly recommend.
MoreVery friendly staff, English menu available, and tasty food. Would recommend
Western/american style cafe that server really good (different from Japanese) pancakes! There is a subtle smokey flavor in it and is not as fuwa fuwa as the other popular one. The cream, butter and syrup goes really well together with the pancakes and overall is a perfect breakfast / brunch meal! The burger was ordered by my friend and she also commented that it was really good and that it feel close to the burger in the U.S.
MoreGreat bacon cheeseburger when you miss home or are getting use to Japan's food options. Also killer latte.
MoreThe French toast is great, and the coffee good. Ambience—especially the '80's Americana soundtrack—is perfect. Long-ish wait outside at noon so leave some time.
MoreHorrible unwelcoming service. Never experienced such manners in whole Japan. The waitress is extremely rude. We arrived around ng 10am and even though there was plenty room inside, we were kept outside without any explanation. After 30min of waiting we were still ignored. Don't waste your time and money going there!!
MoreGreat cafe. Being from Melbourne Australia we have pretty high standards when it comes to cafe's. This is a great little cafe with a bit of a Melbourne vibe. Food and coffee were great. Best breakfast we have had in Osaka so far. Worth a visit. Friendly helpful staff.
MoreWe wanted to try this place out for brunch and walked in, noticing at least 4 empty tables inside. A staff member approached us and told us two to wait outside where a group of 4 were already waiting. It was obvious that there was plenty of space in the restaurant for both the group of four and for us, considering there was only one couple seated inside. The group of four were moved in and the waitress then shut the door in our faces despite the fact that there was plenty of seating. We visited in the middle of Winter and were left waiting outside in the cold for no reason. We have not experienced anything like this anywhere else in Japan. This was extremely rude. Avoid this place on service alone, as there are plenty of other great options in the area with great food and friendly service.
MoreGreat American breakfast joint. The pancakes did not disappoint. Everything tasted like it should. If you're American and looking for a little slice of home, this is your place. Service was excellent too.
MoreGood western food. We went there for breakfast cause we didn't know where to eat. Note dat it is quite expensive for a normal breakfast ud buy at north America.
MoreReally delicious foods!
Really good bread. They bake it fresh daily. A good selection of sandwiches for breakfast too.
MoreGood pancakes and environment. A little pricey though
Great food, old-school decor, relaxing atmosphere, friendly staff, affordably fair prices alongside a nice choice of background music! We ordered a few different items from their menu and we loved everything. Burgers were juicy, tasty, nicely seasoned, well-balanced and had the option of fries or salad on the side. Pancakes were fresh, tasty and the fruit and cream proportion was just right. The sandwich was freshly-made and toasted and the classic milkshake was a delicious cold treat in the wild heat of hot Osaka summers. One interesting and funny thing I noticed was how popular the place was among women. When we were eating, all the customers and staff in the place were women and not even one single man was in sight (except us of course). I almost felt like that I had wrongly stepped into a woman-only cafe if that's a thing! Overall, I really enjoyed eating at West Wood Bakers and will definitely come back again for more delicious food.
MoreGreat pancake, scrambled eggs and bacon breakfast with hot tea. Relaxing atmosphere.Went back and had great fruit pancakes!
MoreBread is the best! Coffee is great too. May have to queue during branch time but you can also get a takeaway. Highly Recommended!
